Martin joined BrookStreet des Roches in 2000. He is the relationship partner for, amongst others, MEPC and since joining the firm he has managed the legal work across four of MEPC's current business parks in England and Wales.

Notable Projects

• Led the property team in the certification of title to the real estate assets underpinning the completion of MEPC’s commercial mortgage-backed securities refinancing strategy with a £168m prepayment of the £470m loan securitised via Opera Finance and the creation of a new facility of £145m from Deutsche Bank secured against Milton Park in Oxfordshire
• Led the property team dealing with the restructuring of MEPC’s property assets into a limited partnership structure and the subsequent securitisation
• Dealt with the high profile sale of Leavesden (“Harry Potter”) Film Studios to Warner Bros.
• Led the property team and management of all property panel firms in Alcan’s sale of its downstream businesses (many sites involving significant environmental issues) for a total consideration of £300+ million.
• Managed development projects in UK and Europe for US distribution giant, Tech Data Corporation.
• Acted for a major Co-op in investment sales and supermarket swaps with Tesco.
