Green energy for Westcott Venture Park
BrookStreet des Roches' construction law team has been active in
enabling the construction and commissioning of a large scale
photovoltaic power plant at Rockspring's Westcott Venture Park,
near Aylesbury. The solar plant will have a capacity of 1,500,000
KW hours per annum (enough to provide the annual energy consumption
for 400 typical houses) which will be used to provide electricity
to WVP. The site of the panels was formerly the runways used by
Lancaster bombers during World War Two. An interesting and
productive change of use!

BrookStreet des Roches also acted for Rockspring on the
grant of a long lease to Shanks Waste Management who will be
constructing an anaerobic digester at Westcott, further enhancing
the renewable energy generation capacity.
